👏🏻I’m living the long vowel life in kindergarten right now. How do these kids walk in barely knowing their letter sounds and now they’re reading long vowels in connected text!? Take these blends and tuck them in your heart. If you forget, you can pull them apart! During my morning meeting I like to cover some form of word work. It prepares my students for their guided reading lesson and the decodable text for the day. You can sprinkle in skill work EVERYWHERE! If we have extra time before lunch we pull these up!
