⁣Meaning of synonym in English. a word or phrase that has the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or phrase in the same language: The words "small" and "little" are synonyms. 'Wrong' is a synonym for 'incorrect'.

What is Linear Motion?

Now, what is motion in a straight line? Objects move in motion, right? Those objects may move in 1 dimension, 2 dimensions or 3 dimensions. Today, we are going to discuss the motion of an object in 1 dimension. And that is the motion in a straight line. Motion in a straight line can also be called Linear Motion.

In Linear Motion, we will be talking about the position, displacement, velocity, and acceleration of an object.
Alright! Let’s start with Position.

The position of an object along a straight line can be uniquely identified by its distance from the origin. What does that mean? It means that the object only moves in one coordinate in the Cartesian plane which may go to the right or to the left of the 0.

The position of an object is relative to the reference frames. But what is a reference frame? A reference frame is an arbitrary set of axes from which the position and motion of an object are described. It means that it is where we base the motion of an object.

Take for example a rocket to be launched into outer space. Since the final destination of the rocket is in outer space, we can use the Earth as our reference frame. And from there, we can now calculate the position of the rocket with respect to Earth.

But not all reference frames are stationary in a linear motion. Sometimes, there are also moving reference frames that we can use in getting the position of an object in motion.

What It
Means: The business is treated as a separate entity from its owner(s).
The owner's personal finances are not mixed with the business's accounts.

Example: If you
own a bakery and use your personal savings to buy a car for yourself, it
should not appear in the bakery’s accounts.








2. Going Concern Principle



What It
Means: It ****umes the business will continue to operate for the
foreseeable future and won’t shut down soon.

Example: A
company buys a machine for $10,000, expecting it to last 5 years. Because
of this principle, the machine's cost is spread over 5 years, not recorded
as an immediate expense.








3. Historical Cost Principle



What It
Means: Assets are recorded at their original purchase price, not their
current market value.

Example: If you
bought a building 10 years ago for $50,000, it will still be recorded in
the books at $50,000, even if its market value is now $200,000.








4. Accounting Period Principle



What It
Means: Financial performance is reported over specific time periods
(monthly, quarterly, yearly).

Example: A
company reports its income and expenses from January to December as a
yearly accounting period.








5. Money Measurement Principle



What It
Means: Only transactions that can be measured in monetary terms are
recorded.

Example: The
business can record the purchase of a $2,000 computer but cannot record
the skill level of its staff, as it cannot be measured in money.








6. Consistency Principle



What It
Means: The business must use the same accounting methods over time for
comparability.

Example: If a
business uses the straight-line depreciation method for an ****et this
year, it should not switch to another depreciation method next year
without reason.








7. Prudence Principle



What It
Means: Always record expenses or losses immediately if uncertain but
recognize income only when it's certain.

Example: If a
company expects a $5,000 bad debt, it should record it immediately, even
if the customer hasn’t confirmed they won’t pay.








8. Matching Concept



What It
Means: Match expenses with the revenues they help generate in the same
period.

Example: A bakery
sells cakes worth $1,000 in December and spends $400 on ingredients in
November. The $400 expense should be recorded in December, not November,
to match with the revenue.








9. Duality Principle (Double-Entry Accounting)



What It
Means: Every transaction has two effects – a debit and a credit – and
both must balance.

Example: If a
company buys furniture for $500:



Debit:
Furniture (an ****et increases).

Credit: Cash
(an ****et decreases).

Imagine a bakery:

But not just a guard, it sends signals in nerves
White blood cells use their membranes to eat germs like hors d'oeuvres,
Membranes have receptors, enzymes and junctions,
So what kinds of structure can have all these functions?

So let's take a look at what makes up the membrane,
Phospholipids rule this domain,
In fact membrane structure emerges directly
from phospholipids' chemical properties.

There's a head and a tail on every phospholipid,
The tail's two long chain fatty acids
Bound to a glycerol, it's made to order
The tail's non-polar --hydrophobic-- fears water

The head's got a phosphate, it's charged negatively,
makes the head hydrophilic--plays in water happily
So tail avoids water while the head's attracted to it,
When phospholipids form the membrane that's how they do it.

Cause when phospholipids into water get submerged,
A phospholipid bilayer structure will emerge
The tails hang together in a water free zone,
Hear their hydrophobic moan, "water leave me alone!"

While the heads are sticking out touching all those H2Os
Tails in, heads out, it's how every membrane goes
Tails in, heads out, in a cellular sphere,
It's the bilayered basis of membranes everywhere.

But a cell membrane's not just a phospholipid scene
There's cholesterol, carbohydrates, lots of proteins.
In fact, membrane proteins have a presence so great,
that they often exceed the phospholipids by weight.

And all of these components are in constant motion,
Moving, mixing like a boiling potion,
Flowing like dancers in a party in Pasaic
That's why the membrane's thought of as a fluid mosaic.

Let's start with proteins since they're key in this mix.
Transmembrane proteins span the entire width.
Typically they're ports--think of channels or conveyors,
For things that don't go through the lipid bilayer.

Any protein embedded in the hydrophobic middle
Built right into the inside is considered integral
While peripheral proteins either hang on the exterior,
Or inside on the cytoplasmic interior.

Cholesterol keeps membranes flowing with ease,
In cold it keeps the lipids moving so they don't freeze,
In heat it slows the lipids down limiting their traveling,
Cholesterol: it keeps membranes from unraveling

Membrane carbohydrates work as markers or signs
So your immune system knows which flag your cells are flyin'
The blood types AB, O, and B and A
Are about the carbohydrates on red blood cell membranes.
