Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.
Bladder balloon-like sac
Storing up urine in the pelvis socket
The, the, the kidneys filtering your blood out
The urinary system
Now, body taking in food like, "What up I got a Big Mac!"
You're so filled up by some food in your stomach
Used for repair and for your energy
Your body needs "Man there's some junk ain't needed"
Nutrients going deep, waste products not to keep
Urinary works with lungs and the skin, intestines
All of which rid the waste, keeping balanced chemicals
Only keep what body needs, body will release this...
But it's a quart and a half each day (roughly)
Depends on drinking on, lost in sweat and how you're breathing in
Taking in of medications makes the total amount of the urine
Eating up protein, vegetables
Urea in blood to kidneys
Bean shaped organs near the middle of your back rib cage
Remove urea from blood, removes urea from blood
No for real, ask your Grandpa filtering with the nephrons (Thank You)
Each nephron capillaries-glomerulus
And a small tube called the renal tubule
Water waste substance urea waste substance
Urine it is forming, in nephrons and the tubules
Thin tubes, thin tubes, ureters to bladder
Urine moving ureters 8-10 inches long
Muscles they will tighten, in the walls, moves downward
Small amounts of urine emptied into the bladder
Bladder balloon-like sac
Storing up urine in the pelvis socket
The, the, the kidneys filtering your blood out
The urinary system
Bladder balloon-like sac
Storing up urine in the pelvis socket
The, the, the kidneys filtering your blood out
The urinary system
What you know about a hollow muscle this organ
What you know about your bladder balloon-like thing
It's storing, it's storing urine inside like luggage
It's just trash 'til your body will go, empty
Thank your bladder for holding urine two cups inside it
Holds tight for some 2-5 hours
Circular muscles and you can call them the sphincters
Yeah, that sphincters help to keep all the urine from leaking
Close tightly, not lightly, opening urethra
They pinch the urine from escaping
Rubber bands keeping waste from p****ing
The nerves in bladder tells your body when to use the restroom
To use the potty or the "loo" or head to urinate in
You be like "Oh that toilet, that's hella tight"
Your like "Yo, I feel the urge to urinate"
Feeling the sensation let's do some addition
Bladder it continues filling, that's just when it's reached it's limit
You feel that urge to let it go hurtin'
The nerves they telling your brain, "Do your business"
Your bladder is hurting, yo
And when going number one the brain send signals to all the muscles holding-don't
Squeezing bladder muscles like a stress ball
And as these muscles relax then urine goes
Urine going through
Urethra, Urinate, Yeah!
Bladder balloon-like sac
Storing up urine in the pelvis socket
The, the, the kidneys filtering your blood out
The urinary system
To balance chemicals
It is incredible
Urinary system
From kidneys down to sphincter
To balance chemicals
It is incredible
Urinary system
From kidneys down to Sphincter
Bladder balloon-like sac
Storing up urine in the pelvis socket
The, the, the kidneys filtering your blood out
The urinary system
Perhaps your bladder is full?
An allele is one of two or more versions of DNA sequence (a single base or a segment of bases) at a given genomic location. The most common interaction between alleles is a dominant/recessive relationship. An allele of a gene is said to be dominant when it effectively overrules the other (recessive) allele. Eye colour and blood groups are both examples of dominant/recessive gene relationships.
An adjective is a word that modifies or describes a noun or pronoun. Adjectives can be used to describe the qualities of someone or something independently or in comparison to something else. In "word analysis" or "word study," students break words down into morphemes, their smallest units of meaning. Each morpheme has a meaning that contributes to the whole word. Students' knowledge of morphemes helps them to identify the meaning of words and builds their vocabulary.

About Atomic School:
Atomic School supports the teaching of Atomic Theory to primary school & science students .
We provide lesson plans, hands-on cl****room resources, demonstration equipment, quizzes and a Teacher's Manual to primary school teachers. Animated videos that clearly explain the scientific ideas supports learning by both teachers and students. As a teacher, you don't have to look anywhere else to implement this program.
Our work has been verified by science education researchers at the University of Southern Queensland, Dr Jenny Donovan and Dr Carole Haeusler, who confirm that primary students are capable of learning much more complex scientific concepts than previously thought, and crucially, that they love it. Students run to cl****!
The program has been trialed in Australian schools as well as schools in the Philippines, Iran and India. It is conducted as holiday workshops at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, the Queensland Museum as well as the World Science Festival.
It has attracted wide media interest, including TV, radio and print, and the research data has been presented at prestigious American Education Research Association and Australian Science Education Research Association conferences.
Atomic Theory underlies all the other sciences- genetics, electronics, nanotechnology, engineering and astronomy- so an early understanding will set them up for a more successful learning sequence for all their science subjects, and support their mastery of mathematics as well. We also have extension programs that cover Biology, Physics and Astronomy to an equal depth.
About Ian Stuart (Email: ian.douglas.stuart@gmail.com):
The founder of Atomic School, Ian Stuart, taught Chemistry and Physics for 25 years at senior levels before he realized that his 8-year old son, Tom, could understand Atomic Theory at a much deeper level than he expected. After visiting Tom's cl**** at school, he discovered that his peers could also grasp the abstract scientific concepts, as well as apply it usefully to the real world.
Ian then developed a program to teach the advanced concepts of high school Chemistry, Physics and Biology to students 10 years younger than they normally would. He found that this engaged their interest in modern science early, and sustained it through to high school and beyond. It also sets them up for future success in their academic and career paths.
Ian has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Queensland and a Master's degree in Electrochemistry from the University of Melbourne.

Learn about the structures of the excretory system and the formation of urine.
Genetic variations that alter gene activity or protein function can introduce different traits in an organism. If a trait is advantageous and helps the individual survive and reproduce, the genetic variation is more likely to be p****ed to the next generation (a process known as natural selection).
Addition in math is a process of combining two or more numbers. Addends are the numbers being added, and the result or the final answer we get after the process is called the sum. It is one of the essential mathematical functions we use in our everyday activities.

Social networking is one of the funniest things about Internet, but it's also important to be careful not to hurt other people's feelings. This video showcases a series of situations related to how we can stop cyberbullying. What would you do if someone shared an embarr****ing photo of a friend? What if you used a rather unpleasant word while chatting to a friend and he got upset? Would you share personal information with a friend about someone? Virtual is real and words have consequences. Remember that our behavior is critical when it comes to standing against cyberbullying. Be a good friend, not a bystander, respect privacy, your actions can make a difference. And remember, if something bothers you and doesn't feel right, you can always tell an adult about it.
